I would like to transfer my information from a frozen person account to a paid family account

My personal trial of 1Password has been frozen, but I created a new family account for myself and my partner. I would like to transfer the information from the frozen account to the new family one.

    Welcome to the forum, @MatthewGirard99! If you've decided 1Password is too good not to share with family members, who are we to stand in your way! You'll need a desktop app like 1Password for Mac or 1Password for Windows (both available on our downloads page) for this.

    • Sign into BOTH accounts in the desktop app.
    • Move over any data from the Individual account that's frozen into your 1Password Families account (either your Personal vault or the Shared vault, your choice -- or you can mix-and-match, if you want some data in one and some in the other).
    • Once there's nothing left in your old Individual account, you can sign out of that account and let it remain in Frozen status.

    That should take care of it, but let us know if you run into any issues. :)

    Here's what I would do:

    • add the new family account to an existing device, e.g. your iPhone or Mac
    • in the vault selector, select your existing, frozen vault
    • select all of the items you want to move over to the new family account
    • choose Item - Share - your new family account vault - Move

    I am logged into the family account, but under the Item field, all options are greyed out.

    You don't have any items selected. You're missing this step:

    select all of the items you want to move over to the new family account
