Standalone license to purchase

Hi there, my girlfriend would like to purchase 1P standalone license for iOs and her Windows machine.
Can you advise how she can do that since every information is no longer accessible?

Thanks

    Hi @giusep71,

Thanks for taking the time to write in.

We're no longer selling 1Password for Windows as a standalone product. To use 1Password on Windows your girlfriend will need either an individual 1Password subscription, or 1Password Families.

We have a guide with the benefits of this here:

What are the benefits of a 1Password membership?

    Thanks!

    Ben

  • Thanks Ben.

And do you still sell the iOs version as standalone license?

    Thanks

    Hi @giusep71

You can download 1Password for iOS from the AppStore directly. When you open it, scroll down to the option "Create a local vault" at the bottom. You can have basic functionality for free or purchase the Pro features as in-app purchase within Settings.

If you have any questions or bump into any trouble please let us know. If she ever wants to try a 1Password.com account and benefit of all the great features it includes it's very easy to migrate your data, so that door is always open ;)

  • Thanks.

By following the steps you describe in iOS and creating a "local vault", will she be able to sync that vault with 1P on her laptop using Dropbox, assuming she has a 1P standalone version on her laptop?

Hi @giusep71 - You're completely right! She will be able to sync the new local vault using Dropbox :+1: I hope this helped and let us know if you have any further questions.

  • Thanks Frank.

In order for her to download the 1P for Windows standalone version, will she have to click the "download" button, or go by the "get 1Password 4 (standalone version)"?

If she has a 1Password 4 for Windows license that will work, yes.

    Ben

  • Yes she already has a Windows license.
So she needs to download the "get 1Password 4 (standalone version)". Correct?

    Hi @giusep71

You are right, if she already has a license she only needs to download 1Password 4 and then add the license when it's requested. She has 30 days before 1Password gets in read only mode. Please let us know if it all goes well!

  • Hi, can you explain what you mean by "She has 30 days before 1Password gets in read only mode.".
Is it in iOs or Windows...?

Sorry for the confusion @giusep71, Pilar was just pointing out she will have 30 days to associate the license to 1Password 4 before it goes into read-only mode. We include a 30 day free trial with all of our apps after the trial period is over the app will go into read-only mode until a license has been associated. I hope this helped and sorry for the confusion there.

  • Thanks Frank, all clear now.

You're very welcome, we're always here to help if you need us. Enjoy the rest of your day

  • How can one get a Windows license for the standalone version and will it sync if I have in Dropbox on iOS? I currently use iOS with Dropbox only, not cloud.

@Rich77: Licenses aren't available on Windows currently, as we're working on the new app. Once 1Password 7 is released there that will be an option though. Otherwise you can get all of the apps with a 1Password.com membership, which also includes the web interface, and does away with license management and sync configuration altogether — you simply login to your account to authorize a device and access your data. You can try it for free for 30 days to take advantage of all of its benefits. Cheers! :)
