Apple id won't sign in from devices but will from web browser

Hi All,
I have 3 Apple products (Iphone 6, Ipad and Apple TV). I cannot signed in to my Apple ID on any of these devices. I try it in a Web Browser and i can log in. I have Apple technicians on it but they have been on it for more then 2 weeks and they still can't sort it out. I would create a new Apple ID but i have my Icloud which i pay for on this and I have Apple music which i pay for from the same account. I thought if i pose the question on here maybe someone can help me out or give me info to tell the engineers at apple to try out.

    @Mickesh_Mistry: That's a tough one. Ultimately there isn't much we can do to help since that's all handled by Apple, but it never hurts to get another perspective. I haven't encountered anything like that myself, but based on troubleshooting website login issues with 1Password there are some things that might be relevant.

    First, are you using 1Password to save and/or fill your Apple ID login credentials at all?

    Second, are you certain that the password being entered on your device is the same as when you login to the website in you browser?

    One thing that comes up from time to time is accounts sometimes allow different passwords in different places. What I mean by that is a signup form might allow 40 characters in the password, which you save, but then it does not work when trying to login because that form only accepts 30 characters, for example. The details can definitely matter. Try not only copying and pasting, but also manual entry.

  • @brenty, thanks for your reply i have changed my password so many times from my devices and they never work online. When i try the old password online in the browser it works. For some reason all my Apple devices are not syncing with my account online. We have troubled shot it through different apps to change the password. Changed it in the browser and still didn't work on the devices. its becoming a problem as i can't update my apps on my iPhone and some of the Apps are not supported, i have bought a new iPhone which i can't use as my Apple ID doesn't work and apple pay doesn't work anymore. I have neveer used 1Password before, i got on to this forum to see if I can get any help or advice in my situation. Does it sound like something that would take 2 to 3 weeks to sort out?

    @Mickesh_Mistry: I really couldn't say because I have no insight into Apple's sign in process. I've personally had good experiences with their support, but I can appreciate that it's not only got to be frustrating for you, but that I can imagine they may be baffled as well, as it just doesn't make any kind of logical sense that it would work in one case and not another. I'm sorry it isn't something we can help with. But I wish you luck, and we're here if you have any questions about 1Password.

    As Brenty suggested, there could be issues with the length of the password. How long do you usually make your passwords?

    @danco: It's my best guess given what i know so far. It would have been further from my mind except that I've run into this issue multiple times myself on websites just this month. Ugh! :lol:
