New iPhone X locked during setup. Wakeup Hello screen is locked - swipe-up doesn't open it.

I started to set up my new iPhone X and got called away and didn't finish. I sought to finish the setup today and started by putting the SIM card in. The iPhone wss in Hello mode and said "Swipe Up To Open". Swipe Up doesn't work. The I noticed a lock at the top of the screen. I plugged the phone into iTunes on my MacBook but it would recognise the phone and said "Enter the Passcode on the Iphone". I couldn't because I can't open it to get access to the Passcode screen. Then I followed the instructions at: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT204306?&cid=acs::fm-itunes_HT204306 I tried this twice but I still ended up with a locked "Hello Screen". My iPhone 6s is intact (albeit with the SIM card now in the iPhone X), and the 6s is backed up to the MacBook. There is no information to lose on the iPhone X because it hasn't been set up yet, and so a total reset is fine. Can you help please.

@Fisho: Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry that I don't quite understand what you're referring to here, so maybe you can help me. What do you mean by "hello screen"? Do you mean setting up the iPhone for the very first time? If so, it sounds like 1Password isn't involved at all, so it isn't really something we can help with here at AgileBits. But I'm sure that Apple can:

And if you have questions about 1Password later on, we're here for you. :)
