I upgraded from v6 to v7 on iMac and successfully moved data from the primary vault to the personal vault. The primary vault on iMac has been deleted. I am retaining v6 on Macbook (because of old OS) and am using a different dataset from the iMac in a vault called "Primary". Is it possible to sync and read the v6 Macbook Primary vault on the iMac and iPhone? Thank you. JIM

  • Hi Jim,

With your 1Password account, you can set up multiple vaults. This is useful when you want to keep certain data separate, and that sounds like your case.

First, sign in to your account on your MacBook. Then visit the menu Account > (your account) > New Vault... and name it something appropriate (e.g. "MacBook Vault").

Then, copy your items from the MacBook Primary vault to the newly created vault. You can do this by selecting "All Items", clicking on an item, and Edit > Select All (Cmd-A). Then drag to your new vault in the vault list, or use the right-click context menu to copy the items.

After that, you can delete the Primary vault on your MacBook.
