6.8.9 update leaves computer with 2 versions of the 1Password application

Why when I install 6.8.9 my computer is left with 2versions of the1 Password application, 1 Password and 1 Password 6? Can I delete the 1 Password? Does this affect my 1 Password app on iPhone?

    @josereino: You should definitely only have one copy of 1Password on your Mac. Please drag the old version to the Trash and restart your Mac. That won't have any effect on your iPhone since they're completely separate devices. Let me know how it goes! :)

    The version named "1Password" is from the Mac App Store. The version named "1Password 6" is a direct download from our website.
