Hi guys,

I wanted to log into my account 30 min. ago and I simply can't any more. When I try to log in with my email it says it does no exist. And I've been using 1 password for a couple of years now with that email address. I can prove it because of all the previous emails you sent me before. Can you pls help me because it seems like I've now lost all my passwords.

    I'm sorry about the issues with logging in. It sounds like you may have been using a standalone license instead of a 1Password.com account. There are actually two different ways to use 1Password:

    • 1Password Accounts (Recommended): 1Password accounts offer a few benefits over standalone licenses. Some of these include automatic syncing, the ability to view and manage your data on 1Password.com, access to all of the 1Password apps, and more! 1Password accounts are a subscription-based service but are the recommended way to use 1Password.
    • Standalone Licenses (Advanced): Standalone licenses are a one-time purchase, but do not include some of the features that 1Password accounts have. Additionally, standalone licenses require you to be responsible for setting up your own syncing method, doing manual backups, and other complex features. Because of this, standalone licenses are only recommended for more advanced 1Password users.

    Do you know if you were previously syncing your 1Password data? If so, you can set up that same syncing service again to regain access to your data: https://support.1password.com/sync-options/
