I have an original 1password license and use it regularly on my new Macbook pro that I bought about 6 months ago. Had no problem at all moving 1PW from my older Mac. I purchased the license in 2013. However, I just bought a new iphone 10 x max to upgrade my former iphone 7 plus, and cannot get 1 Password working on my new phone. When I open the app, it asks me for my secret key, even though it says in the "how to" notes that original 1 Password users do not require a secret key. What do I need to do to get 1PW working on both my new
iPhone?

1Password Version: 6.8.6
Extension Version: ?
OS Version: OS10.13.6
Sync Type: Dropbox

@jimminarik: 1Password for Mac will not run on an iPhone, so the license for that will not be of use to you there, only on a Mac.

It also sounds like you may be trying to login with a 1Password Account, but you will only have one if you've signed up for a 1Password.com membership. That’s the only way you’ll have a Secret Key or Sign In URL, or be able to access your data through 1Password.com. Instead, you can use 1Password without an account and sync your data from another device or create a new vault.

However, you may want to consider a 1Password.com membership, since it gives you access to all of the apps, the web interface, and does away with license management and sync configuration altogether — you simply login to your account to authorize a device and access your data. You can try it for free for 30 days to take advantage of all of its benefits.

Either way, let me know if you have any questions. :)
