Cancelling within the trial period - seems very hidden [support.1password.com]

I started a trial of 1password on my Mac but am not happy and want to cancel before trial completes?

    It seems to be very difficult to find where one goes to cancel a trial of 1pass; a situation I find a little dishonest

    @DSG: It's neither difficult nor dishonest, but I do apologize for the confusion.

    First and foremost, if you never setup billing, you don't have to do anything at all.

    If you setup billing up through the website though, you can cancel right in that same place with a few clicks: https://start.1password.com/billing

    If you setup a subscription through Apple, you can cancel through your Apple ID: https://support.apple.com/HT202039

    I agree with DSG. I subscribed for the 1 month free trial online and set up my billing though the website. However, when I went to install the app on my iPhone, it said it needed iOS 12 which I don’t have and can't get because the iPhone is too old. Therefore I am unable to use 1Password. Despite what is written above, I assure you that THERE IS NO OPTION TO CANCEL MY TRIAL IN BILLING SETTINGS!!!

    I also find this extremely frustrating and deceptive! Please cancel my free trial immediately and ensure that I am able to take a free trial again at a later date when and if I buy a new phone. By the way, not having an app for older versions of iOS is also very inconvenient and I believe bad marketing.

    I'm sorry for the trouble. Did you set up billing through Apple? If so we have no means to cancel on your behalf. You'd need to cancel with them directly:

    View, change, or cancel your subscriptions - Apple Support

    iOS adoption rates are very high, and as a security focused company we can't in good conscience recommend any course of action other than running the latest versions of 1Password, your operating system, and your web browser.

    @jaysonwatchorn: Just to clarify, as there seems to be come confusion, if you haven't subscribed, there's nothing to cancel as far as billing. You won't be charged, of course, because we'd have no payment information in that case. If you want to delete the account though, you can do that through your account profile on the website: https://start.1password.com/profile

    I signed up for a trial subscription thru your billing site (I provided no billing info) and later signed up for an annual family subscription under a different name for which I paid by credit card (but using the same email address and master password). Both accounts are now shown when I log in. How do I delete/cancel the trail account?

    If you need to delete a personal 1Password account you can do so from the web client. https://my.1password.com

    That worked - with some difficulty. Just as a heads up, the secret key for my trial account was different from the one I paid for. Your suggested solution only works if the key for account to be deleted/cancelled is entered.

    That would indicate that you have two entirely separate accounts.

    Correct; you do need to be able to log in to the account you want to delete in order to delete it yourself. If you're unable that requires assistance from our email support team (sales@1password.com).
