"Personal" vault not in web interface

When using the web interface on 1password.com, I noticed that my "Personal" vault is not listed there. This is not the old "Primary" vault, but I have been using 1password since before the membership service (and am the manager of our family account since it launched). It syncs just fine across devices, but I can't "manage" it on 1password.com. Is this a legacy vault from older versions or is it hidden from the web interface on purpose? Should I move items from there to a new vault if I want to manage them online or is there some advantage to the "Personal" vault?

1Password Version: 7.2.4
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: OSX 10.14.2
Sync Type: 1Password Family

  • Hi there @mistame , thanks for getting in touch. Without revealing anything sensitive (and assuming your vault names are not sensitive) could you post a screen shot of your vaults in 1Password for Mac alongside the vaults you see on 1Password.com?

@MrRooni Oddly enough, after moving them out of the Personal vault and back in, it shows up now in the web interface. It's still a little strange. When I try to manage access to the vault, it won't let me add anyone in my family: https://i.imgur.com/gf4dSxl.png. I'm also unable to change the icon for the vault or delete the vault.

  • @mistame Your Personal vault is special in that you cannot share it with anyone else in your family. You can use the Shared vault (which everyone in your family has access to by default) or you can create a new vault that you share with particular members of your family. We have a pretty good article about how to do that here: https://support.1password.com/create-share-vaults/
