multiple users on browser extension

I am the main member of 1Password, and have my husband as part of the family subscription. He has set up his vault with his own login user name/password under my subscription/membership. My question has to do with the Chrome Browser extension (I haven't tried any other browsers as Chrome is my default). When I choose to log in to the browser extension for faster access to my accounts, it only ever gives me the choice to login for myself; my husbands separate login (again, under my main subscription) is never valid. We can access his account (under my main subscription) on the 1Password website without a problem. What do we need to do to be able to to access his separate account/vault via the extension?

  • Hi, @lmjones3.

The browser extension can only handle one user at a time from a given account. If you and your husband share the same computer, you can create a second Chrome profile for your husband and he can add his 1Password account there.

Here's how to create a second Chrome profile: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/2364824

Once you've done that, add 1Password X from the Chrome web store: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/1password-x-–-password-ma/aeblfdkhhhdcdjpifhhbdiojplfjncoa

Then your husband can add his account to the 1Password extension in his own Chrome profile.

    Hope that helps!
