Conflict between Keychain password store and 1Password?

Whenever I enter a website and have the Keychain password automatically fill in my username/password, 1Password immediately prompts me to save this login even though it already exists there. Why? I'm constantly hitting cancel, and before I figured out what was going on, I had multiple copies of logins for some sites in 1Password.

    1Password should prompt to save / update existing if there is any difference in the username, password, or URL.

    Are you seeing the save prompt every time for every website, or is it more infrequent?

    Is this an issue only when filling a login from the system Keychain? What about when filling a login from 1Password, or manually?

    Also, make sure the prompt to save is from 1Password, and not the browsers built-in password storage (e.g. disable Safari > Preferences... > AutoFill > User names and passwords). It doesn't sound like this is what's going on in your case, but some people get confused by the multiple save prompts.
