I am new to 1Password, and initially set it up to work with the extension for Safari. If I want to be able to also use Firefox or Chrome, what additionally do I need to do.

Thanks -

Welcome to the forum - and to 1Password, @dewarner! To use 1Password for Mac in any browser besides Safari, you'll need to install the 1Password extension for that browser.

Thanks - that went well. Will Safari be getting an equivalent extention at some point?

Apple is ending support for the „classic“ browser extensions in Safari, the way forward are app extensions which 1Password 7 already supports. You do not have to download and install a separate extension anymore with Safari 12, only activate the 1Password App Extension in the Safari settings.
