A few weeks ago, every time I signed in to a site, usually using Safari saved passwords, I would get a pop-up box from 1Password asking if I wanted to save the login info. Lately, I am no longer getting that popup box, even though I've made sure that preference is checked. (I'm using 7.2.5). On one new site today, I tried putting in everything manually and when I tried to sign in to the site, the password filled, but the user name did NOT. What gives??

1Password Version: 7.2.5
Extension Version: 7.2.5
OS Version: 10.13.6
Sync Type: cloud

Welcome to the forum, @mwolfson! I'm sorry for the trouble. I'm also not sure I understand you, however. You said you "put everything in manually" -- what do you mean? You tried to create a Login item in 1Password by clicking the "plus" button and entering data manually in 1Password? Or something else?

If that's what you did, that's definitely not the recommended way to save Login items. Other types of items like Credit Cards or Passports require you to enter the data manually into 1Password because there's no automatic mechanism. But in the Login type, the recommended method of saving items is by entering the data into the website itself, then allowing 1Password to offer to save it for you. I understand you are saying this wasn't working...but the reason things didn't fill properly is that you didn't capture the data the Login page of the site needs. For example, someone creating a Login item for Amazon by clicking the plus button in 1Password would likely put "https://amazon.com" into the URL field. However, this is NOT Amazon's Login page -- only their main page. The actual Login page for Amazon is (believe it or not):

    https://www.amazon.com/ap/signin?encoding=UTF8&ignoreAuthState=1&openid.assoc_handle=usflex&openid.claimed_id=http%3A%2F%2Fspecs.openid.net%2Fauth%2F2.0%2Fidentifier_select&openid.identity=http%3A%2F%2Fspecs.openid.net%2Fauth%2F2.0%2Fidentifier_select&openid.mode=checkid_setup&openid.ns=http%3A%2F%2Fspecs.openid.net%2Fauth%2F2.0&openid.ns.pape=http%3A%2F%2Fspecs.openid.net%2Fextensions%2Fpape%2F1.0&openid.pape.max_auth_age=0&openid.return_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2F%3Fref%3Dnav_custrec_signin&switch_account=

    That's quite a difference.

If 1Password isn't offering to save logins for you when you input your credentials into the webpage in question, check: 1) have you turned off your browser's internal password manager? 2) is the 1Password extension installed and enabled? 3) Is the "Detect New Usernames and Passwords and offer to save them" box checked in Preferences > Browsers? If all of the above is yes, please restart your Mac and try saving a Login item again; let me know what you discover.
