I'm helping a friend with 1Password. The extension had shown in Safari (12.1.1) before, but now it's missing and I don't see a way of reinstalling.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Dave

    @dvandelay,

    As of 7.2 there isn't a separate extension to install for Safari, its integrated directly into 1Password 7. The side effect of this is that the code signature of 1Password 7.app directly impacts us now. If the code signature on 1Password 7.app isn't valid, Safari will completely refuse to even display an icon in the preferences window to even indicate that it sees it.

    Your best bet to resolve this behavior is to try:
    1. restarting the computer (usually kicks Safari and pkd into reflecting the correct presence of the extension)
    2. if the code signature of 1Password 7.app is invalid then you may need to drag the app to the Trash and reinstall from https://1password.com/downloads or the Mac App Store

    Thanks, Rudy.

    Restarting didn't fix it, but we'll try reinstalling.

    I went over to my friend's place this morning and reinstalled 1Password.

    That did the trick.

    Thanks again, @rudy.
