How to save password for multiple servers in same domain

I have a large number of servers I need to log into occasionally. Their URLS are of the form:

https://compute[1..20].oob.clientONE.company.com
https://compute[1..15].oob.clientTWO.company.com
...
https://compute[1..25].oob.clientTHIRTY.company.com

Every server in clientONE has the same password, every server in clientTWO has the same password (but different from clientONE). Currently I am saving one of these logins for one server (for example compute1.oob.clientONE.company.com) and then when I try to log into compute2.oob.clientONE.company.com, I see a list of saved passwords for *.company.com and I can scroll and select the right one. There are dozens of clients, and this is a pain.

I know that I can create a password for clientONE.company.com, and then add a website for each of compute1 to compute20 to that password entry, but that is quite time-consuming and manual.

Is there any way to wildcard this so I don't have to do this? I don't want to save an individual password for each server, because that's a bunch of extra work, and because then 1Password will (rightly) nag me that I have a bunch of duplicate passwords.

Hi @schof! Welcome to the forum!

I know that I can create a password for clientONE.company.com, and then add a website for each of compute1 to compute20 to that password entry, but that is quite time-consuming and manual.

I believe this would be the best solution in your scenario. You would just have a single 1Password entry for each client, and you would not have duplicate passwords warnings. There is no way to automate this in the app, but if you know programming, you could try using the CLI to do this.
