On my MacBook Pro (late 2017) MacOS 10.14.6, when I unlock the app using the touch bar's touch ID, 1Password's Firefox plugin still requires me to enter the master password manually. Is there a way to have the Firefox plugin unlock when the app unlocks?

@JimmyTheSaint: If you use the 1Password desktop app and its companion extension together, it will work the way you describe. You can get both of them here:

    https://1password.com/downloads/

And this guide will give you an overview of how that works:

I hope this helps. Be sure to let me know if you have any other questions! :)

Yes, that works, thanks, I just switched from Safari, and that page you linked to shows both 1Password X and the companion app under that. 1Password X promises to be "the best way," and the other one below it just says "Or, download..." as if it's the poor man's version, so naturally I went for X. I might ask what the difference is between the two, but who cares now that I've made a note.

@JimmyTheSaint: Sorry for the confusion. 1Password X is the best way to use 1Password in the browser -- but in the exclusive sense: it runs there entirely, rather than being a native app. For many folks, that's all they need/want. For others, that's their only option (Linux, Chromebooks, restricted work computers). But if you're like me and want the power of a native app -- and bells and whistles like Touch ID -- the 1Password desktop app/extension will be just what you're looking for. Cheers! :)
