edit passwords without permission

Hi,

unfortunately it is actually not possible to sync updated passwords without the permission to show / copy passwords.
But after filling out a new password on the browser the browser extension allows to update an existing login.
In the 1Password app will follow an error 101 which a normal user don't see if he don't look in the app directly.

best solution:
let the user update passwords, without seeing the passwords - it would be perfect if users can update passwords but don't see them. :-)

alternative solution:
Is it possible to remove the update function on an existing login in the extension or remove the existing logins if there is no right to edit the logins?

If its allowed in this forum I uploaded 2 screenshots for better understanding. :-)

Thank you in advance

no one who can help us with our business account? :/

  • Hi @d3v1an

I apologize for the delayed response. We do not currently offer a feature like what you're requesting. Perhaps in the future we can consider that. Would you mind elaborating about the circumstances for which you'd use something like this? Where would it be acceptable for someone to change the password, but not view the current one? What sort of attack do you see that mitigating?

    Ben
