Trouble Restoring ipassword after upgrading from iPhone 8 to iPhone 11.

So, I backed up my iPassword via my iPhone 8 yesterday, via iTunes. So I have the Backup file on my local machine.
I then upgraded to the iPhone 11.
First, I couldn't get the app to open. So I tried Re-installing.
And now when I try to Restore via iTunes, I can't point iTunes to the location of where I saved the Backup File.

Thanks for any advice!

Hi @ScottRR! Welcome to the forum!

And now when I try to Restore via iTunes, I can't point iTunes to the location of where I saved the Backup File.

What happens exactly when you try to point iTunes to the location of your backup file?

I connect my iPhone to iTunes, I access my phone > File Sharing > I select iPassword from the list of Apps. NOTHING appears in the list. And I see no buttons to Point to the file.

Well, I'm an idiot. I didn't see that there was a scroll bar, and hidden there was the 'Add File' option. I accessed that, pointed to the backup file and now I have my passwords. Sorry for being 'that user', but thanks for taking time to try and help.

  • Thanks for the update, and no worries, @ScottRR. I'm glad to hear that ultimately you were able to find a solution.
