Families → Teams, but keeping the name?

Hey all!

We're a small company who had our security team evaluate 1Password Family Plan as a convenient means of securely transferring passwords back and forth between our engineers. Turns out we love the service and would like to make the jump to teams! One problem though... when upgrading, it asks us what we'd like our team name to be, and when we enter the very unique name of our company, it tells us it's taken. We know! By us!

We've moved a significant number of our secrets and credentials into our vault now and would prefer not to delete the account, if that's what it takes to release the name. Anything we can do to clear this up?

  • Hi @sdmx,

I'd recommend reaching out to our business team via email at business@1password.com. Please send the message from the email address associated with your 1Password membership. They'll be able to look up the account details and give you the best options based on those results. Because this is a public forum, we're unable to look up or make changes to anyone's account based on requests made here.

    Thanks!

    Ben

    Ben-

Sent an email to support@, but will send another to business. My apologies to the support member who gets them for the spam! Thanks for the quick response!

No worries. If you've already sent a message to support no need to duplicate. We can move the email to the right team. :)
