Last evening I got an email sent to one of my email addresses thanking me for signing up and asking me to verify my identity. I did not send such a request. Any idea as to how this might have happened? Can I block them from signing up under a specific email address?

    Thanks for taking the time to write in with this concern.

    Any idea as to how this might have happened?

    Perhaps the person trying to sign up mistyped their email address? Or perhaps the email isn't from us at all, but rather is a phishing attempt?

    Can I block them from signing up under a specific email address?

    It wouldn't be possible for someone to complete the signup process without access to the email address they were trying to sign up using. So they won't actually be able to complete the process without that email.

    Pretty sure it was a phishing attempt. Glad to hear there is security in place to keep them from completing the process. And yes that's helpful. Thanks!
