Switch from Teams to Family

I’m still on an early-adopter teams account with just my wife an I.
(nearly 10 years with 1P all up..)

I originally thought we may need to add collaborators but that never eventuated.
In our account we just have one shared vault with our 2 adult children. They’re on stand alone legacy 1P accounts that I setup for them years ago.

It makes sense to switch this setup to a family account.
Will it be a straight switch?
Will the current shared folder remain intact?
If I invite the kids into the family account what will they need to do to migrate their data?
(Can they login to both their individual vault and their new family based vault at the same time, and then just move the items between vaults?)
Will there anything else I’ll need to look out for in this transition?
I pay for teams annually, will there be a pro-rata fee adjustment?
thanks

It makes sense to switch this setup to a family account.

Based upon your description this sounds like a good choice.

Will it be a straight switch?

Will the current shared folder remain intact?

Yes, the current shared folder will remain shared between you and your wife.

If I invite the kids into the family account what will they need to do to migrate their data?

Yes, you would send them an invite and let them set up their account, and they would import their data into their account.

(Can they login to both their individual vault and their new family based vault at the same time, and then just move the items between vaults?)

Yes, though I would review https://support.1password.com/migrate-1password-account/

Will there anything else I’ll need to look out for in this transition?

Not that I am thinking of.

I pay for teams annually, will there be a pro-rata fee adjustment?

Yes there would be an adjustment, due to the plan change.

I would recommend setting up account recovery if you haven't done so.
