I'm trying to autofill the login for my Dahua IPC at http://192.168.1.xxx

It works perfectly in Safari (13.0.5), but not in Chrome (80.0.3987.122).

Neither the key command (Command+') nor pressing the 1Password icon near the URL works.

Only the user field is filled.

I've also tried selecting the password field (or user field) first and then auto-filling manually via the app, but no luck. This trick works in Safari for some sites that doesn't work normally with 1Password.

1Password Version: 7.4.2
Extension Version: 4.7.5.90
OS Version: macOS 10.14.6
Sync Type: iCloud

I was able to find this post, would you look it over and see if it works for you. It may or may not, I, unfortunately, do not have a router/http login where I can check this suggestion. https://discussions.agilebits.com/discussion/comment/518295/#Comment_518295

You can try 1Password X, and if it works, continue using it. If not, you can revert to the extension and pick up where you left off. Please note you should only have one copy of the extension, or 1Password X enabled on your machine at any given time (within a single browser).

Thanks, I'll see if I can understand what's going on. EDIT: Sorry, I've no clue what that thread is referring to.

    What's 1Password X? I thought I always had the newest version since I'm on a plan.

It's confusing enough already with the multiple apps, windows, and various workarounds. Any chance there's another, simple workaround than yet another app/extension?

No, not that I know of, maybe one of the others will have an idea. My apologies, I will continue to research on your behalf.

1Password X is our next generation extension. It works similarly to the companion extension. https://support.1password.com/getting-started-1password-x/

Thanks, I understand now that 1Password X is a beta version.

    1. I removed the old extension in Chrome, installed 1Password X, so there's just one extension.

    2. 1Password X works even worse, unfortunately. It would not fill the user field, nor the password field.

It didn't respond to the key command, nor did pressing the icon near the URL work.

So neither the regular extension nor the beta version works with Chrome.

Weird, I have never experienced those behaviors. Are you by chance using a non English keyboard layout? Perhaps they are having a contributing factor?

Yes, I'm Danish. I'm not sure that's related. Switching to a US layout won't help, and besides I need the Danish layout of course.

This particular problem is covered in this older thread:

Sometimes the keyboard layout plays havoc with the shortcuts, not always, but it does happen from time to time. I was merely wondering if you happened to fall into that group. It looks like you have been using 1Password a bit, I am sure you would have noticed irregularities with the shortcuts before now. ;)

You posted in the Mac section, would you mind if I moved this over to the saving and browser filling section, it should get you a broader audience.
