Why is it that 1Password X and Desktop App Integration will be so useful?

As one who has used 1Password since the start of 2020 and in that time (almost) exclusively 1PX, I am just wondering why it seems that integration is the holy grail in the development of 1P (for the foreseeable future)? Can you enumerate specifically what tasks will be much more easily done with an integration of 1Password X and the Desktop App (Windows)?

    Hi @jmjm!

The benefit of integrating 1Password X with the browser extension will be that both the extension and the desktop app will follow the same lock state. Right now, it could happen to have the desktop app unlocked, and 1Password X locked, or viceversa.

In addition to this, the integration will allow you to unlock 1Password X using Touch ID, if your Mac has a fingerprint sensor. Mitch listed some other benefits in this post too.
