If you type in a password and do not generate it using 1Password, is there a way to have it test this password for strength?

    Welcome to the forum. :) This isn't currently possible. The reason is that unless 1Password has generated the password it has no way of knowing the entropy (randomness). We are looking at adding strength calculations for non-generated passwords, but the accuracy of these will vary. If you have to use some other method for creating a password I'd recommend taking a look at these tips:
