Thank you for the screenshot! The error is coming directly from the app, it's not a 1Password error. Are you able to login properly if you copy and paste your credentials?

Thank you for the confirmation! It's possible that the app is doing something to prevent 1Password from filling there. The error message that you showed says "Please try again and contact PenFed if the problem persists". Have you by chance done that? I wonder if they are aware of the behavior.
OK, the problem is that the Username field won't invoke 1Password iOS to begin the access info. The workaround is to enter the Username manually (I didn't try copy/paste), then save it using the option button provided in the app. Once past that hurdle, simply use 1Password iOS as usual to fill the Password field. On subsequent login attempts, the Username field will already be filled (contents partially asterisked), so just go right to Password field which will spin up 1P, allow you to select the PenFed entry, and will load the field and let you in (sorta). You then get prompted for 2FA and then given a choice for local "auto-login" using either Face ID or some kind of pattern matching. Sheesh!
P.S. Called and made sure PenFed knew of the anomaly and that an app reload did not correct the problem.
