1Password Updater process runs over and over, but no update.

Every few minutes I am notified that there is a 1Password update. The updater icon bounces in the dock for too long, and then says that I am already running the latest version. If I force an update check from within 1Password, it immediately responds that I have the latest update. This behavior started with the last beta update and has been continuous since then.

    Hi @iWoodsman!

Can you please try quitting 1Password completely (right-click on 1Password mini in the menu bar at the top right of your screen > Quit 1Password Completely), and then relaunch 1Password? If you try updating again now, do you see the same behavior?

Upon trying to react to the beta 4 announcement, the install appeared to stall on expanding the archive. Force-quitting the installer and checking 1P version still showed beta 3 and "latest version". Checking this thread gave the Quit 1Password Completely hint. Now 1P shows beta 4.

    Thank you.

  • Thanks for letting us know @xz4gb8.
