Pass Phrases vs Passwords

I have volunteered to help folks in a senior community with their Apple devices and helping them get a handle on their passwords is really frustrating. I have read several articles on using passwords vs passphrase (passphrase example = 1Long+Story+Tale)
When I used a passphrase and saved a login to 1P, it rated that passphrase as "terrible".
When I check that same passphrase on an online password checker, it returns that is will take 1 trillion years for a computer to break it.
Why is there such a discrepancy: "terrible" vs "1 trillion years".
It would be a lot easier for those seniors to input a passphrase.
Many thanks for any insight you can provide.

    Hi @BikerBob38!

This is a bug our developers are aware of, sorry for the confusion! The password is secure, the bug is only in the strength that is displayed to you ;)
