can't find secret key or get emergency kit

I can't find my secret key and all instructions on how to get an emergency kit need me to sign in using a secret key. This came about as I don't seem to have a 1Password account listed in my preferences in 1Password which is odd as I bought a family account a long time ago. When I tried to add one it asked for my secret key.
