How to disable 1Password Safari Popups?

Since upgrading to 1Password 7.7, it is constantly taking over content with annoying popups for most input fields.

I want to return to the proper behavior where 1Password is brought up only by the user's command via ⌘-\.

I have tried turning off autofill, I have fiddled with the Mini preferences in 1Password. All to no avail.

Hi @powellb! Welcome to the forum!

I have tried turning off autofill, I have fiddled with the Mini preferences in 1Password. All to no avail.

Have you also tried unchecking the option Show inline menu in Safari under 1Password Preferences > Browsers tab?

Perfect! Thank you. I was too focussed on the mini (since that—as I understand it—is what "pops" up). I unchecked "Automatically show inline menu when selecting a field" and now have the behavior I have used for the past many years with 1Password.

    Thanks!

  • On behalf of Ana you're very welcome. :)
