Trying to add 1pw to older IPAD IOS 9.3.5 Message "1password not compatible"

Loaded on most devices but can't download app on older IPAD.
Is there a workaround?

    @decklake,

    The only workaround would be to "get" 1Password on a device running iOS 12.2 or later and then downloading the app from your purchases on the iOS 9.3.5 device. Apple will offer to install the last compatible version with your 9.3.5 device via that mechanism but won't let you 'purchase' it directly since the current release version requires iOS 12.2 or newer in order to run.
