Struggling with manually saving a new Login

I subscribe to a digital magazine which I download every month. 1Password does not recognise the slightly eccentric form which is here:

https://subscriber.pagesuite-professional.co.uk/custompages/archant/login.aspx

I have to select the magazine from the drop down box, add my surname and subscriber number.

I followed the knowledge base article from this link:

https://support.1password.com/save-login-manually/

Whilst I get the New Login option (Mac, Catalina fully patched), clicking it doesn't make anything happen. I don't get the option to assign a name and nothing appears in the 1Password database.

Would appreciate some help!

Many thanks in advance
Alastair

    Hey @amjbrown ,

The website you provided doesn't contain an actual login form. 1Password doesn't recognize a username or a password on the page (since there aren't any), so this is basically just a couple of text fields that happen to let you perform an action. We can make this work by manually creating a new login item like so:

    1. Open your 1Password desktop app.
    2. Click the PLUS icon at the top and select "Login" from the list of options to create a new login.
    3. Give it a name, leave the username and password fields empty.
    4. Under the username and password fields, paste in the website's URL into the website field: https://subscriber.pagesuite-professional.co.uk/custompages/archant/login.aspx
    5. Under the URL you'll see an empty section with some custom fields that you can use. Select an empty Label field and name it txtSurname (case sensitive). Under it, input whatever you want 1Password to autofill in the Surname field on the website.
    6. Select another empty label and name it txtAccountNo (case sensitive), then input your account number under it.
    7. Click on "Save" to save your new login item, then try to use it when autofilling on that website. It should autofill both fields.

There's not much to do with the dropdown unfortunately, but hopefully this will do.
Here's a screenshot of what your login item should look like when you are done:

That's brilliant @ag_yaron - thank you so much!

I switched the developer menu on and had a look at the source so I can see what you did. Capturing the subscription number is the heavy lifting, so selecting the title from the drop down list is no bother. I am not an html guru, but I could see no obvious way of snatching the title - I assume your guru status is considerably higher and you drew the same conclusion?!

    Thanks again. New tricks :chuffed:

    Hey @amjbrown ,
    Glad I could help :chuffed:

Indeed, dropdowns are a bit more complicated and this one cannot be manually created in a login item so I didn't mess with it in the video to prevent confusion.
