1Password does not display in menu bar (v7.7 on Big Sur)

I no longer see 1Password in my menubar after upgrading to BigSur.

It is enabled in preferences:


1Password Version: Version 7.7 (70700015)
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: MacOS 11.1 (20C69)
Sync Type: Not Provided
Referrer: forum-search:1password does not display in menu bar

    @tdensmore

    By chance, are you using something like bartender that can always hide a menubar item? If so, you may want to check its configuration.

    No, I don't have anything like bartender running. I saw the 1Password menu item before my OS upgrade.

    I just figured it out... Chrome itself seems to be hiding the menu item.
    I accidentally clicked on the Desktop and saw the 1Password menu item:

    Then returned to Chrome and it disappeared:

    Very frustrating ... !
    Maybe changing the order of items will prevent 1Password from being hidden.

    Thank you for the update! I am glad to hear that you found the culprit :)

    I don't believe the issue is with Chrome specifically however, this probably will keep happening with other apps too: you have a lot of items in the menu bar, so any open application with more than a few menu bar entries will hide some of the existing icons.
