access vaults after death

I'm new to 1Password having moved over from LastPass. I'm 73. I'm a little confused by the use family vs guests. I would like to know peoples opinions RE the best way of having someone (e.g. the executor of my estate) being able to access my financial and social accounts.

    The simplest way is to print out your Emergency Kit, fill in the section left for the Master Password and put it somewhere safe, like with your will. If you use two factor authentication then make sure they have access to your devices and/or print out the 2FA manual entry secret code.

    Hi @drnoho! Welcome to the forum!

    I'm a little confused by the use family vs guests.

    Family members have more features available to them in the account: they can create new vaults, share vaults with other family members etc. A guest of a Families account only has access to one single vault, chosen by you, and to nothing else in the account:

    Share with guests in 1Password Families

    It's useful if you want to share something with an accountant for example, who would need to have access only to some specific information, but not to all of it.
