Synology DSM 7 - not filling in credentials

Hi everyone,

I'm using 1P 7.6.791, and unfortunately the 1P Extension (no matter if Chrome, FF or Brave) is unable to fill in my login details for the Synology DSM Webinterface. While it does offer the Login, clicking will only reload the login page in the current tab, but not enter the username.

The URL in the 1P entry has been set to all variations that are called during the login process, does not make a difference:

https://diskstation:5001/
https://diskstation:5001/#/signin
https://diskstation:5001/#/signin/password

(SSL is properly configured)

Would you like me to provide any type of debug information?

    Hi @semicuda! Welcome to the forum!

    Unfortunately I don't have a Synology device to test this, but I wonder if you could try creating a new login with these instructions, and see if they help:

    Do you see the same behavior even after creating a new login item like this?

    This doesn't help, unfortunately. The entry won't do anything either. I assume this is due some peculiarities in the way the login page is designed. Can I assist somehow in debugging this?

    Hi @semicuda,

    Hmm, I'm sorry filling isn't working for you here! Would you be able to grab the page HTML for me so I can take a look and see if I can figure out what's going on?

    In Chrome, right click somewhere on the page and choose "Save As...". Change the format to "Webpage, HTML Only", and then you can copy the HTML from the file it creates into a post here for us to take a look at :smile:.

    Just to wrap this up: it seems to be a rare but know issue in the classic extension. The new one (previously known as 1Password X) doesn't exhibit this behaviour and works perfectly fine.
