Registering Yubikey 5Ci

Hello,

I have purchased both a Yubikey 5NFC (USB-a) and a 5Ci (USB-c and Lightening).

I am able to register my 5NFC with 1Password on my late 2012 iMac as it has USB-A ports.

However I don't own any other computer device with USB-C or Lightening, so my question is how to I register my 5Ci?

Am I able to log into 1Password.com website on my iPad, and register the 5Ci via connection to the iPad Lightening port?
