    Hi @strom!

    An update is indeed available for you: the latest beta version is 7.7.1.BETA-9, so it's correct that you are receiving the notification. The question is why the updater cannot complete the update for you. Can you please try quitting 1Password completely (right-click on 1Password mini in the menu bar at the top right of your screen > Quit 1Password Completely), relaunch 1Password, and checking for updates manually under 1Password Preferences > Updates tab?

    Are you able to complete the update this way?

    Thanks for the suggestion! I tried quitting completely but it's still not finding the update…

    @strom:

    Out of curiosity, if you click on 1Password in your menu bar (next to the Apple logo) and select About 1Password, does it tell you that you are running BETA-8 or BETA-9 there?

    Aha – it's now showing BETA-9!

    Was definitely 8 before as I copied and pasted the version number from that screen into the original post, but it looks like it's silently updated between then and now.

    And hasn't given me any more phantom notifications so looks like that's fixed.

    Thanks for your help, @ag_ana!
