when manually deleting a tresor , will existing backups of this tresor also get deleted?

I would like delete a tresor, but keep the latest backup of it in an external storage (USB) as a secure copy in case that later on there might come up the need to restore it.

You mentioned having a 1Password.com account. If that's the case, there are no local backups available for those vaults. They are all kept on the server. I would suggest creating or renaming one of your present vaults to become an archive of sorts and then exclude it from view on your devices. Then there would be no need to delete the vault, and you'll always have access to it if needed. This is the approach I use. I think you'll find it helpful. Plus you don't have to worry about the medium you would have the backup on getting destroyed or misplaced etc.

Once you delete a vault it is final. All data is removed.
