After installing the new 1Password beta I noticed that the Safari extension icon is not blue anymore like all the others, but black.

  • @r22,

This appears to be a bug with the latest Safari Tech Preview and 11.3 Beta.

@rudy OK, I’m using Tech Preview yeah but prior 1P version wasn't black. Maybe it would be if I installed a new extension?

  • @r22,

Each build of 1Password for Mac has an extension inside of it, but we've changed nothing as it relates to the icon. That extension doesn't actually get installed outside of the app itself, the OS finds it by way of a daemon called pkd Safari talks to that daemon to be aware of the Safari extension. I haven't seen anything in the Safari Tech Preview release notes to indicate that this is an intentional behavior change on their part. We supply a pdf and Safari is the one doing the coloring.
