Edge & GBoard Autofil strip

Hi all,

I've read many many threads on the Android 11 Autofill features and that Chrome v89 + 1Password on Android now supports the Autofill strip in GBoard a[[, now since Microsoft Edge runs on the same code base (Chromium) I assumed the same should work with Edge + GBoard but that didn't work :(

Any ideas when this may work?

    Hi @theroninhunter. In order for us to display Autofill inline above the keyboard, a browser needs to support Autofill. However, Edge doesn't support Autofill, and so we use use our accessibility service to fill here. Chrome has support for Autofill compatibility mode in version 89, which is why we're able to display Autofill inline there, but Edge doesn't I'm afraid.

    For now, you should see the inline presentation in Chrome 89, Firefox, Firefox Focus, Brave, and DuckDuckGo.
