1Password does not recognize already installed extension

When hitting the global shortcut for 1Password, in my case CMD+@, 1Password should open with a suggestion or autofill login. Instead it says to install the Firefox extensions and gives a link to the classic extension.

I have the new extension (not classic) and CMD+. brings up suggestions and auto fill as expected, but I would still expect the global shortcut to work as well.

This has happened in the past as well, but I have yet to understand what triggers or fixes it.

    Hi @joakimnl!

The new extension you have installed is independent from the desktop app, so the keyboard shortcut would not work for it. If you want to keep using the "Cmd+" shortcut, you will ned the classic extension instead:

    Get the 1Password classic extension
