can no longer add new logins to 1Password Android app

using 1Password for Android version 7.7.4

Just recently I noted that new logins in apps that I save to 1Password (via integration) aren't being saved. Also, when I open the 1Password app, I used to hit the big plus icon in the lower right and choose an option like 'Login' or 'Secure Note'. Now I only have two options: 'Server' and 'Software License', and no other options (no 'Logins', etc.).
Did something change or is there a setting I need to choose to get app functionality back?
As a sanity check (for me), going to 1password.com and adding a new Login or Secure Note to my account continues to work perfectly.

    Hi @okg!

    If you open the 1Password app and go to Settings > 1Password Accounts, is your account listed there? I am wondering if your app is activated properly.
