What is the process to move from the Linux Beta to Stable version for Linux? Can I just change the repo from beta to stable?

  • Hi @cb3static 😊

All you should need to do is download the latest version of 1Password for Linux from our downloads page, and it will automatically configure your release channel to be on the stable branch!

So I am running 8.0.33-92.BETA.. If I do an apt update, I don't see any update available. Maybe I'm missing something?

Hi, @cb3static . One option would be to edit /etc/apt/sources.list.d/1password-beta.list. You can just change beta to stable there. But if you download the .deb file from our downloads page, it will actually set the new source repository during installation.

Thank you @Blake and @Savanni - downloading the .deb has updated the correct repo.

  • Awesome! I'm glad to hear that did the trick!
