Safari browser extension missing following update to 7.8.4

I just updated to 7.8.4 on my two Macs and neither shows the 1Password extension in the Safari toolbar anymore. One Mac is on Mojave and the other on Big Sur. In both cases I have checked the extension in Safari preferences, which is enabled and correct. Disabling and reenabling the extension does nothing, however I've used Brave to post this and it's working fine there.

Everything was OK until 7.8.4 was installed a few minutes ago. Curiously my daughter is having no problems with this version in Safari, so I am bit perplexed by what is happening. Could it be a conflict with another extension?

    Very strange but in both cases the extension has now appeared after toggling on for the third time in Safari preferences.
