Feature Request: Reward Programs Evolution
Hi,
Would it be possible to extend 1Password a bit more for the Reward Programs?
Ideas:
- be able to add a photo from the card, but not attached as a document (this could be valid even for other types such as the ID card). It would be go to place it all on top in the UI
- Have an additional field type for barcodes. If you enter a number it could be converted to barcode and shown
- Be able to pin/call some reward programs cards using iOS widgets (eg using tags) and it will put the screen brightness high in order to scan it in a shop
This would allow me to remove another app from my phone just to handle these cards.
What do others think?

We will probably not tweak or add any more built in categories to the app, because no matter how many we add, there will always be some more missing, and which some users would like to have (or different structure, as in this case). Instead, we are currently beta testing custom categories in our 1Password Business accounts. Depending on how that test goes, we might decide to extend the feature to other account types ;)

Hi @ag_ana. I didn't mean to add a new category. The Reward Programs category does already exist.
I would rather be to have another type of field (where we have today: Text, URL, Email, Address, Date, Month/Year, OTP, Password, Phone). If there would be a way, like for OTP to visualize a string in a different way (could be something like upc://01234567895) which then transforms into a UPC barcode.
For images/picture of a Reward card, it could be achieved using the same way by adding a field type "base64" with the value like "data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAAUAAAAFCAYAAACNbyblAAAAHElEQVQI12P4//8/w38GIAXDIBKE0DHxgljNBAAO9TXL0Y4OHwAAAABJRU5ErkJggg==".
Finally, the ability to pin an item from 1Password into a widget, could be a common feature for any kind of item. It would be nothing else than a shortcut for opening 1Password and opening a specific item.

Why not make it a general item available to all label+new field and define it by the way you define the field just like you do for One Time Password.
So you define in the field 12345678 and define it as 1D barcode if you click on the button behind it will show a large Barcode. You could do the same for 2D barcodes
There is so much more use for this than reward cards

Absolutely - exactly as suggested. I have sone many of these cards which use barcodes that 1Password could replace - even other area a new field could help with. Please….
