The last week 1Password for Windows has not been able to start even after logging out/in and rebooting the system. The log files just contain lines such as 24312 2021-06-13 00:14:38 0.000s ERR opw_app::app_services:26 > opw-sqlite\src\lib.rs:221 The database returned an error

Going back a few days the logs leading up to the error are

What do I do now to once again use 1Password?

    Hi @zuel!

I would like to ask you to generate a diagnostics report from your PC and email it to us to support+forum@agilebits.com, so we can take a closer look at why this is happening to you.

After you have sent the email, please feel free to post the ticket number you received so we can locate your message and connect it with this forum discussion.

    Looking forward to your message!

Maybe I am missing something but how am I going to generate a report via the 1Password menu if the application itself crashes and wont start?

    That's a pretty good point @zuel 😬

Instead, can you zip up the logs found in C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\1Password\logs and send those into us at the same email Ana provided earlier?

  • @sushidad I'm glad to hear that you were able to find a solution that worked for you!

I hope you don't mind, but I edited your original message to remove the step you used to resolve this issue. The reason I did so is that in some situations, that particular action can cause loss of 1Password data for the user. Since other users may come across this thread and try that solution, we'd prefer that these users write us so we can give them the personal help they need to get 1Password running again while minimizing any potential risks.

For anyone who needs assistance with this issue, please shoot us an email at support+windows@1password.com, and we'll be glad to help.
