Chrome Extension too slow to open

Since installing the beta version/early access to my PC running Windows 10, the Chrome extension is taking forever to open. The first attempt to open the extension may take > 30 seconds. Subsequent attempts after the time-out routinely take >10 seconds to open. This used to be an instant process.

Details about system:
Windows PC running Windows 10.
Chrome Version 89.0.4389.90 (Official Build) (64-bit).

    Can you please confirm what version of the 1Password desktop app and of the 1Password browser extension you are using?

    The Desktop extension is version 2.0.5
    The Windows app is 8.1.2-82.BETA
