Extension not working in Firefox

This morning when I turned on my computer the 1Password icon in the menu bar was greyed out (it was actually flashing briefly) I uninstalled the extension and then downloaded and attempted to install. The icon is no longer there. I tried going into the Firefox menu and customizing the menu bar but the icon is not visible to be dragged over to the menu bar.

I opened Safari and the extension in not working there either
