Mac Dock Icon Appears and Remains after interacting with 1Password

Interacting with 1Password 8 in any way activates the dock icon in macOS and leaves it there until I quit the app. This includes Quick Access from the menu bar or keyboard shortcut.

The dock icon should never appear unless I'm explicitly using the 1Password app. Otherwise, it should remain closed and invisible.

I find this behavior to be invasive on my system and disrespectful to me as a user. Please reconsider this behavior, thank you.
