Cannot get chrome extension touch ID to work?

Why can I not get touch ID to work on the Chrome Add In. Very annoying putting in password each time.

Under settings Integrate with 1Password app is switched on.

Trying to get everyone to migrate to 1Password and this is a show stopper. I thought it worked. Has a new update broken this feature?

HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

    Hey @antlong ,

Sounds like the desktop app might be having troubles connecting to the extension in Chrome. Please try this:

    1. Right click the little 1Password icon on the top menu bar of your Mac (where the clock is) and select "Quit 1Password Completely".
    2. Quit Chrome by right clicking its icon in the Dock and selecting "Quit".
    3. Open and unlock 1Password 7.
    4. Open Chrome, wait a few moments and see if the extension unlocks on its own without you having to enter your password. If it did unlock on its own, then the app is integrated to the extension and things should work. In case Touch ID is not being asked when unlocking, please try to disable it and enable it: https://support.1password.com/touch-id-mac/

In case the extension did not unlock on its own and you had to input your password to unlock it, please send us the following to support+x@1password.com with a short description of the issue:
